Our Intake Protocol

At Lake Norman Humane we serve as a lifeline to our community to help keep pets and families together. From offering advice, guidance, partnering with trainers, to running a community food bank for families in need, our goal is to keep you and your pet together.

We know that despite these efforts there will still be times when it becomes necessary for a family to surrender their beloved pet. During this difficult time we offer support, guidance, and a judgement free environment. While we cannot take in every animal in need, we work diligently to help and to guide you to the best resources and options available.
